Hopi Ear Candling:

a clearing, soothing, balancing treatment

Hopi Ear Candling is a wonderfully relaxing therapy which includes a soothing, therapeutic facial massage, and Reiki to the head area if required.

Developed by the Hopi tribe in north America, ear-candling (also known as thermo-auricular therapy) is a pleasant and gentle means of treating the ear, throat, sinus and head areas.  This treatment can be helpful in many conditions, including stress, headaches, ear pain when flying, sinus problems, excessive ear wax or blocked ears, 'ringing in the ears' and snoring.  It also has an overall relaxing and balancing effect for the whole person.

The ear candles are made from organic cotton, pure beeswax, honey extracts and healing herbs chosen for their beneficial and anti-inflammatory properties.  The candle’s heat releases herbal vapours which circulate inside the ear canal, soothing irritation, promoting circulation and loosening accumulated wax.  The face massage enhances the soothing, clearing and healing action of the candles. (I use Neal's Yard natural and organic facial oils during the face massage. You can see these luxurious products for yourself at my Neal's Yard website.) During the treatment you can also receive Reiki if you wish, at no extra charge.

Please note that this treatment is not suitable for anyone with a cochlear implant or grommets. It is also not suitable for anyone with an ear infection, for which medical attention should be sought.
